Charitable Donations In Tasmania

A charitable giving budget turns good intentions into a plan. Decide what share of your income you want to give, choose a small number of causes you can follow, and set a rhythm, whether monthly or once a year. PBG Foundation is an ACNC registered Australian charity funding humanitarian projects in Vanuatu and across the Pacific, and we help individuals, families and businesses build giving that fits their finances.

Keep every receipt in one place and total your gifts before you lodge your return. Check each charity's ACNC registration and, if you plan to claim, its DGR endorsement. For families and businesses giving larger amounts, a structured fund can make giving easier to manage over many years. This is general information, not financial or tax advice.

Whether you give from anywhere in Tasmania, your gift is received and managed in Australia by PBG Foundation Limited and directed to programs in Vanuatu and across the Pacific.

Questions

Charitable Donations FAQs

Can’t see your question? Our team is happy to help.

Is PBG Foundation a registered charity?

Yes. PBG Foundation Limited is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). You can look us up on the ACNC Charity Register.

What makes a donation tax deductible in Australia?

A gift is generally deductible when it is $2 or more, made voluntarily to an organisation endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), with nothing material received in return, and you keep a record of it.

How can I donate from Tasmania?

You can give online or by direct bank transfer from anywhere in Australia. Both options are on the PBG Foundation donate page, and our team can help with larger or recurring gifts.

Is my donation to PBG Foundation deductible?

Ask us for current receipting details before you give, and check your own position with your accountant or the ATO. This site provides general information, not tax advice.

When do I need to give to claim it this financial year?

The gift has to be made by 30 June to count in that financial year. Giving earlier than the final week of June leaves time to confirm receipts and plan larger gifts.
